Welcome to the National Geographic Learning
2022 Digital Catalogue
We’re delighted to bring you the latest in authentic, relevant, and motivating materials, with new titles across the board from KG through to Academic series. We’re also building our ‘Content Based English’ titles that not only teach English language but also bring in literacy skills and cross curricular learning to the classroom. This publishing really reflects the growing needs and requirements of our partners as English moves to be the language of instruction in many corners of the world.
As with many things that started at the beginning of the pandemic we have decided to remain with a catalogue in digital format rather than print. Not only does this make for easy (and social distanced) sharing, but it also helps us to reduce the impact of our promotional materials on the environment. It’s a small step but one we are planning to build on throughout 2022 as we all turn our attention to facing into the climate crisis.
Whilst the ongoing pandemic may have changed the way you teach and the way we deliver our materials, the content remains as inspiring, engaging and relevant as ever and we hope you enjoy browsing the wealth of titles within these digital pages.

Bringing the World to All Classrooms
Our programs feature content that reflects the world authentically. Our goal is to teach English and to teach the world. Students learn and use language because they are motivated to discuss their fascinating world in English.
The way you teach, connect, and engage students is evolving. We want to empower you, and your students, to create engaging and motivating lessons and classes. And this means any lesson and any class: those which take place in a physical classroom; those which take place online; and those which take place in both places. We support any teacher with the tools to prepare, teach, reinforce, and assess their classes.
National Geographic Learning is here to help you bring your classroom to life.

Professional Development Webinars
Consider this: without professional development where would the teaching profession be? The answer is very simple - we would be stuck in the age of Grammar-Translation. Or worse. As such, it is clear to see how important the role a robust approach to professional development can be for the career and development of a teacher. Indeed, as Jim Scrivener (2011) points out, without a proactive approach to professional development, “twenty years of teaching experience can become no more than two years’ experience repeated ten times over.” Yet for many teachers it often doesn’t get the attention it deserves, lost in piles of homework, lesson planning, meetings and other more pressing matters.
However, with the sudden shift to online and blended teaching brought about by the global pandemic, the need for teachers to consider their approach to their own professional development has been brought sharply into focus. Teachers all over the world have suddenly had to embark on a steep learning curve as they grapple to get to grips with new terminology and methodologies linked to teaching online. What can we discern from this? The message is clear – you never know what lies around the corner. As such there is a very real need to continue to push yourself, learn new things and stay abreast of the latest teaching trends. In other words, if you want to be the best teacher you possibly can be, you need to take responsibility for your own development rather than relying on others.
Why is Professional Development
so important?
